Rogelio Brathwaite, LSW

Mr. Brathwaite is an accomplished, dedicated, skilled License Social Worker with over 35 years in the provision of behavioral health services.  He is in the process towards an advanced independent clinical licensure.  Mr. Brathwaite has worked in a variety of behavioral health settings and levels of care.  He has served as a Behavioral Health Casemanager, Behavioral Health Consultant, Group Facilitator, Mobile Therapist, Program Director, Adjunct Professor, College Field Instructor, and Clinical Therapist.  Mr. Brathwaite completed a Bachelor’s degree in Clinical Psychology at Old Westbury College in Long Island, New York.  He received a master’s degree in social Worker from Hunter College in New York City.   Mr. Brathwaite concluded a two-year Fellowship training program as a Clinical Therapist at Geisinger Psychiatric Medicine. 

Mr. Brathwaite provides counseling to children, adolescents, and adults.  He helps children (in partner with their parents or caretakers) examine techniques to reduce or eliminate behavior problems and learn health behavior.  Mr. Brathwaite helps adolescents and adults struggling with adjustment, stress, grief and loss, life transitions.  He helps them to understand their mental process, develop strategies to cope, and regain control of mood, functioning, and improve relationships.  Mr. Brathwaite also provides compassionate care to help individuals find meaning during challenges and to address their spirituality and wholeness (physical, psychosocial, and spiritual).  Mr. Brathwaite individualized treatment is targeted to specific concerns, present-focused, and time limited.  Education materials and tools to measure progress are provided to put clients in the driver seat of self-care and treatment management.  Mr. Brathwaite’s services can be integrated with primary care providers and psychiatric care to improve outcomes.
