Amanda Marando-Blanck, LSW

Amanda is a Licensed Social Worker who specializes in the treatment of PTSD, complex trauma, and identity issues among adults and adolescents in individual, group, and/or family therapy. She earned her M.S.S. with a clinical concentration from Bryn Mawr Graduate School of Social Work. She uses a collaborative approach when choosing the best therapeutic method to match an individual’s personal goals and values.

She believes in building a genuine and empathetic therapeutic relationship wherein patients feel empowered to deepen their understanding of their past experiences, trauma, and current life stressors. She utilizes this trusting relationship with patients to help individuals approach their fears and anxieties in order to create more meaningful actions in their lives. She has experience utilizing a variety of modalities such as CBT, DBT, ACT and Mindfulness-based, Humanistic, Relational, and Schema therapies with a diverse group of patients. Most recently, she has gained expertise in Prolonged Exposure (PE) and Exposure and Response Prevention (ERP) at Rogers Behavioral Health Trauma Recovery and Anxiety/OCD PHP, where she received the commemorative LimeLight Award from one of her patients. She also has experience treating anxiety and mood disorders co-occurring with substance use and/or personality disorders. Amanda lives in Philadelphia with her wife and enjoys going on hikes with her dog, Luke, crocheting, reading, and traveling.
